Dr Christopher Teo graduated from the University of Adelaide, Australia with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2004. He continued his education and completed a fellowship in orthodontics at New York University (NYU) in 2013, where he remained for his orthodontic residency in 2017, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2019. Today, he continues to teach at Montefiore Einstein Hospital in New York. His clinical focus is in adult orthodontics and craniofacial orthopedics.

Dr Christopher Teo takes a thoughtful, patient-centred approached to orthodontics. He takes the time to understand each individual’s lifestyle, goals and expectations, and integrate multidisciplinary expertise where appropriate. He delivers personalised orthodontic care that balances function, aesthetics and long-term oral health.

Dr Christopher Teo’s research focuses on Invisalign efficacy and technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in orthodontics. He has been invited to give national and international poster presentations and his work has been published in peer reviewed journals and books. He is also a journal reviewer for PLOS ONE since 2014.

He won the IADR Bernard G. Sarnat Award in Craniofacial Biology at the 2014 International Association for Dental Research meeting.

Committed to providing a personalised and reassuring patient experience, Dr Christopher Teo combines clinical expertise with a warm, approachable manner that puts patients at ease. He believes that every orthodontic journey begins with understanding each patient’s goals, needs and lifestyle, working hand-in-hand with them to create a balanced, healthy, and confident smile.

A firm believer in the transformative power of a great smile, Dr Christopher Teo has a special interest in aligner therapy, including early orthodontic treatment for children as young as six. As an international speaker and educator, he remains actively involved in teaching and continuing professional education.

Outside the practice, he enjoys staying active through cycling, tennis, and yoga. He also loves travelling, tending to his plants, and spending time with his rescue dog, Katsu.

Dr Christopher Teo is fluent in English.
