Our Sterilisation Standards

Here at Dental Designs Clinic, we take our infection control seriously.
With sterilisation equipment from Germany and the United States, we follow international standards of infection control, ensuring a pristine clinic for your treatment.
Our infection control methods are effective against bacteria & viruses, including the novel coronavirus Covid 19.

Step 1: Disinfection of Chair According to Dental Sterilisation Standards

All patients come into contact with the dental chair, and so it can easily become contaminated with blood or saliva. This is why we make it a point to clean and disinfect our dental chairs between each patient, no matter how simple the procedure.

Before entering the sterilisation process, dental instruments undergo thorough manual cleaning to remove visible debris and contamination. Our dental professionals utilise enzymatic cleaners to ensure the effective removal of organic materials, preventing chemical or detergent residue that could compromise the sterilisation process.

Step 2: Cleaning of Instruments by Dental Professionals

Reusable dental instrument and handpieces can become contaminated or are potentially contaminated, with saliva, blood, or other biological fluids. Therefore, we have a detailed, multi-step process of disinfecting our instruments so they are impeccably clean.

All used trays and instruments are washed and brushed thoroughly with antibacterial soap.

Card (10) (1)

We then soak them in Micro 10+ , a special disinfectant, inside our Ultrasonic Machine from Germany. This will kill all remaining stubborn bacteria.

Card (11) (1)

Instruments are then placed into disposable sterilisation pouches.

Card (12) (1)

Our Class B Autoclave Machines then use steam (134°C) under pressure to completely eliminate bacteria, viruses, fungi and spores.

Peace of Mind

We prioritise your health and safety, and we only use products that we would trust for our own family members.
We disinfect our dental equipment and chair after every patient and always use a fresh set of sterilised, clean instruments.

Step 3: Sterilisation of Dental Instruments for Infection Control

Sterilisation is an essential step in the reprocessing of reusable dental instruments. They are sterilised under high temperatures and vacuum pressure, and a fresh packet is used for every patient.

Our dental team follows the manufacturer's instructions for instrument processing and sterilisation, ensuring compliance with devices and industry regulations for the disinfection or sterilisation process.

Adhering to infection control procedures to minimise the risk of disease transmission between dental professionals and patients. Implementing high-level disinfection for non-critical items that come into contact with intact skin to ensure safety and hygiene.

This dental clinic has very good staff who are well trained and friendly. The dentists are also very good and will explain the treatment in detail before starting treatment. The equipment is very high tech and I believe they are able to do high quality work as I did my crown here and it looks much better than my colleague who also recently did his at another place. The waiting room is also very comfortable. good job!

This clinic is one of the best I have ever seen. I saw dr Justin for my implant which I did many years ago, the tooth was loose, and other drs told me to remove it as they could not find out what brand it was but dr Justin was able to take 3d xrays and locate the brand and specially ordered the part in. he saved me from having to do a surgery to remove and put a new implant which would have cost me a bomb. the tooth looks even better than the original thanks to the experieced dental technician Katsuya from Japan.

Very happy and will keep coming back for my regular dental.

my workplace is close by and I had a problem with my tooth for a few days, so I made an appointment to come down. The receptionist who booked my appointment was very helpful and friendly to explain the way to the clinic from my office. I saw Dr Nicholas who was able to do a root canal treatment on the same visit so that I didn't need to come back. I felt safe and comfortable to do my dental treatment here as the dental picks are all wrapped up and sterilized and only opened before each treatment when im inside.
